City Park

For many years the city park was home to timber constructed playground equipment.  This equipment was obsolete, the timbers were weathered and cracking.  Early in '06 Jim Braun recommended we take on a project to replace the equipment and coincidently, the City had plans to remove it for water main maintenance.  It was perfect timing...

By late summer we had the plans in place, approval from all those concerned and the new equipment ordered.  By late September the water main work was complete and the equipment was installed.  The project's cost was just under $30,000.  It required 21 members and approximately 148 man-hours from concept to completion.

The project committee consisted of  Jim Braun, Steve Bergesch, Glenn Rosenberg, Steve Bruggemen, Paul Manual.  The construction committee consisted of  Red Petersen, Keith Jerpseth, Jim Latour, Jared Braun, Jon Bayer, Justin Wisner.  The construction crew included those above plus Tom Johnson, Bob Johnson, Steve Niklaus, Art Dingmann, Derek Groth (and son,) Dewey Gunnarson, Al Nerheim, Myron Morris (and son,)  Dan Carlson and Jeff Herr.

The Annandale Lions Club extends our deepest
appreciation for their support and assistance on this project:
