Request for Charitable Funds

The Annandale Lions, through its charitable gambling organization, has funds available for charitable purposes as defined by Minnesota lawful purpose statutes.  If you or your organization has a need for these funds, you must fill out the questionnaire on the second page and give to any Lions Club member. The Lions Board of Directors will review your request and may ask you to attend a future meeting to explain your needs further.

Note: The board meets the second Wednesday of the month.  Requests must be received before 3 pm on the Monday prior.   Requests after the deadline may not be on the agenda and would be deferred to the following month.

The Meat Raffle is a great way for your club or organization to earn funds, see below.

Meat Raffle Donation Application Form

The Annandale Lion's Club has charitable gambling funds available, as donations, for organizations that meet state of Minnesota lawful purpose code and the club's discretionary criteria. The funds are generated through meat raffles at Annandale area establishments. Donations may be earned for your cause by providing ticket seller volunteers at the meat raffles. If your application passes the acceptance criteria, you will be awarded the proceeds from a weekly meat raffle for one month. You will be required to furnish two ticket seller volunteers per week for approximately two hours at each raffle. Throughout that month your organization could yield up to $700.00, which will be donated after the month has been completed. Donation periods will only be awarded in one-month increments.  You may apply as often as you like. The number of applicants will dictate the frequency of the donation period awards.

Because local business owners and many individuals are committed to charitable causes like yours, tickets sales are generally robust.  But to insure quick ticket sales and make a fun evening for your volunteers, organizations are encouraged to get their membership, friends and family involved.

Here is a flyer/reminder you can pass out to your membership.  Flyer.doc (MS Word)
