Willow Park, City Park (Pavilion area), mowing/lawn care, fishing, ball field complex, Kiosk
The City is interested and has requested we consider this as a project. There is a need for playground equipment. The neighborhood has many children that do not have access to the City Park equipment.
The playground equipment at City Park is very appreciated by the City and neighborhood, but there are more things we can do: West of the Pavilion, the hills need terracing, open air shelters need to be repaired/built, etc... top
This has been discussed before but has not been acted upon. We should look at doing maintenance, lawn care, winter shoveling and the like for deployed military families. top
There is the occasional talk of taking seniors fishing and/or having a seniors fish fry. top
A little ways off, but we should start planning... The City will be drying out and using the current ponds. The proposed usage is a ball field complex. This could be a very large project both financially and in labor. Needs will include things like fences, concession stand(s), restrooms, pathways, etc.
The Kiosk/Sign since moved is nearly impossible to read during the day. We need to add to the roof line, or better yet, re-orientate the signs so one is readable coming from the west and the other from the north. The inside needs to be rebuilt - more/better shelving, but the outside could use some work too.
Perhaps we should look at a total rebuild... top
